Malaysia currently hosts the world’s largest rare earth processing facility via Lynas Malaysia in Kuantan. Deputy Minister Liew Chin Tong reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding the rare earth supply chain under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030. With an estimated 16.1 million tonnes of non-radioactive rare earths valued at RM809.6 billion, Malaysia is positioning itself as a key player in advanced materials.
