In the first two days of full enforcement under Op Pematuhan Undang-Undang (Op PUU) 2025, authorities issued 7,013 traffic summonses across Kuala Lumpur. Police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said most offences involved obstructing traffic, followed by ignoring traffic lights.

Over 7,000 Summonses Issued

The operation, supported by DBKL, JPJ, and multiple police units, began in key hotspots and will expand citywide. Fadil stressed zero tolerance for violations and aims to instil a culture of lawfulness ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026. He affirmed that Kuala Lumpur must lead by example, showing the world Malaysia’s commitment to public order—even in everyday matters like traffic discipline.
