Strongest Storm in 49 Years Hit Johor
No evacuation centres were opened, but 28 police reports have been filed. Two homes in Simpang Renggam were also affected.
Officials pledged aid, while MetMalaysia confirmed the storm was part of the monsoon transition phase, expected to last until November. Strong winds and heavy rain are forecast to continue, especially along Peninsular Malaysia’s west coast.
