MANCHESTER – Under-fire Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has acknowledged his job is on the line as poor results persist ahead of Saturday’s clash with Sunderland.
Speaking at a press conference, Amorim said it would be “naive” to believe he could stay if performances fail to improve. “We understand we need results to continue the project. This is a big club with two owners and huge expectations,” he said.
Amorim Poor Results
Appointed 10 months ago, Amorim has won just nine of 33 Premier League matches. Despite pressure to abandon his 3-4-3 formation, he remains adamant the system isn’t the issue, insisting the team’s struggles come down to execution and belief, not tactics.
