KUALA LUMPUR – Nearly 300 Bukit Damansara residents, supported by Sheila Majid, Nazir Razak, Khairy Jamaluddin and Ambiga Sreenevasan, protested against the proposed redevelopment of Wisma Damansara into two 60-storey towers. Carrying placards reading “Save Bukit Damansara,” they warned the project would worsen traffic, strain infrastructure, and destroy the neighbourhood’s identity.

Nazir called the development “monstrous,” while Khairy questioned whether DBKL had conducted a traffic impact study. Sheila reflected on the area’s once-green character, now under threat. Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh urged DBKL to uphold the Kuala Lumpur Local Plan 2040, warning against eroding public trust in planning.
