Verstappen leads
The top five were separated by less than one-tenth, setting up an intense qualifying session. Verstappen, who has won the last two races, has cut Piastri’s lead to 69 points. McLaren can clinch their second consecutive constructors’ title if they score at least 13 points on Sunday. Lewis Hamilton finished eighth but may face a red flag penalty.
