Kedah Flood Evacuees Increase as River Levels Remain on Alert

Flood evacuee numbers in Kedah rose to 100 people from 30 families this morning, following relocations from Kampung Permatang Limau to the Pokok Sena multipurpose hall. Two rivers—Sungai Ketil and Sungai Bata—remain at alert level. 

Kedah Flood Evacuees Increase

In Perak, 107 evacuees from 33 families are still housed at three relief centres in Taiping, with thunderstorms forecast across multiple districts. Johor’s situation remains stable, with 159 evacuees from five villages sheltering at SK Melayu Raya in Pontian. 

Authorities continue monitoring weather conditions and river levels, while civil defence teams maintain support across affected areas to ensure safety and access to basic needs.
