Perikatan Nasional (PN) is open to forming electoral alliances with any party willing to collaborate ahead of Malaysia’s 16th General Election (GE16), said Chairman Muhyiddin Yassin.
PN Opens Door to New Allies
He explained that parties may either formally join PN or work together through loose electoral arrangements. MIC and MCA have been approached, amid dissatisfaction with the unity government.
PN recently announced a coalition of 12 opposition parties to address unmet reform promises. Muhyiddin also agreed in principle to allocate 12 parliamentary and 20 state seats to MIPP, pending discussions with other PN components. Final decisions will be made collectively, not by him alone.
