Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor has officially dissolved the State Legislative Assembly, paving the way for the 17th state election. 

Sabah Assembly Dissolved

The announcement was made at Menara Kinabalu after Hajiji met with state leaders and received consent from Governor Tun Musa Aman. The current GRS coalition holds 42 seats, with other parties including Warisan (14), BN (12), PH (7), KDM (2), and PAS (1). 

GRS now comprises Gagasan Rakyat, PBS, Usno, LDP, Harapan Rakyat, and PCS. STAR and SAPP will contest independently. The dissolution marks a new chapter in Sabah’s political landscape, with shifting alliances and renewed contestation ahead of the polls.
