JOHOR BAHRU, Oct 7 — Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) winger Arif Aiman Hanapi has become the club’s highest-scoring local player with 61 goals across all competitions. The 23-year-old achieved the milestone after scoring a brace in JDT’s 7-0 win over PDRM FC in the Super League on Saturday.

According to JDT’s Facebook page, Arif surpassed former captain Safiq Rahim’s record of 59 goals. Only foreign players Bergson Da Silva (166) and Gonzalo Cabrera (66) have scored more. Arif reached the feat in 170 matches and also contributed 66 assists for the Southern Tigers.
