Employers BARRED from Using Workers’ BUDI95 Subsidy for Company Vehicles

The government has warned employers against directing workers to use their personal BUDI95 fuel subsidy accounts to refuel company vehicles, calling it a violation of policy. Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil urged affected workers to report such misuse to KPDN or relevant authorities. 

Employers BARRED from Making Use of Workers’ BUDI95

The issue gained attention after a viral video allegedly involving Flash Express. Fahmi stressed that gig workers using personal vehicles are eligible for BUDI95, unlike full-time employees whose fuel costs must be covered by their companies. 

The Finance Ministry is reviewing the possibility of expanding BUDI95 quotas to gig workers. The move aims to prevent exploitation and ensure fair subsidy distribution.
