KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will face a full trial over seven corruption charges linked to the Jana Wibawa programme after the Attorney-General’s Chambers (A-GC) rejected his request to withdraw them.
Deputy public prosecutor Datuk Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin informed the High Court that the prosecution was ready to proceed, possibly as early as January 2026.

However, Muhyiddin’s defence team proposed a later start in May or June. The court fixed Nov 10 for case management after both parties failed to agree on trial dates. Muhyiddin, 78, faces four counts of abuse of power and three counts of money laundering involving over RM430 million allegedly linked to Bersatu’s accounts.
