Investment Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz announced that new incentives for the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) will be revealed next week at a joint conference with Singapore’s MTI and the Johor state government.

He emphasized Malaysia-Singapore synergy in attracting global investors, especially in manufacturing. Zafrul also stressed ASEAN’s neutrality amid global fragmentation and confirmed upcoming regional agreements on trade and digital economy.
To boost Malaysia’s competitiveness, MITI is streamlining investment approvals through initiatives like the Invest Malaysia Facilitation Centre – Johor, supported by AI-driven processes. The goal: reduce bureaucracy, enhance investor confidence, and position Malaysia as ASEAN’s top destination.
