GEORGE TOWN, Oct. 9— Two teachers from SMJK Chung Hwa Confucian were charged in separate magistrates’ courts for allegedly injuring the same 15-year-old student with a rotan in two incidents last year.
Rotan crime
Lau Teik Hwa, 47, and Choong Kean Beng, 59, both pleaded not guilty to charges under Section 324 of the Penal Code for causing intentional injury. The court set bail at RM3,000 for Lau and RM6,000 for Choong, with orders not to contact the victim. Both cases were fixed for document submission in November.
