WASHINGTON, Oct 6 — Senior White House official Stephen Miller denounced a federal judge’s decision blocking President Donald Trump’s plan to deploy National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon, calling it “one of the most egregious violations of constitutional order ever seen.”

U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, granted a temporary restraining order sought by California and Oregon, halting the deployment of state troops to quell protests outside a Portland immigration facility. Miller argued that the judge had “no authority” to restrict the president’s military powers.
The ruling marks the second time in recent months that courts have limited Trump’s efforts to send federalized troops into Democrat-led cities.
