OSLO, Oct. 9 — Former US President Donald Trump is unlikely to win this year’s Nobel Peace Prize despite his repeated claims of brokering peace deals, experts say.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee will announce the winner on Friday, but analysts believe Trump’s record runs counter to Alfred Nobel’s ideals of international cooperation and disarmament.

“Trump’s actions often undermined global collaboration,” said Nina Graeger of the Peace Research Institute Oslo, citing his withdrawal from treaties and trade disputes.
With no clear favorite among 338 nominees, potential contenders include Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms, Yulia Navalnaya, and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
Observers predict the committee will opt for a less controversial winner aligned with democracy, human rights, and humanitarian ideals.
