PETALING JAYA: Authorities have temporarily closed the playground, futsal court, and community garden in Ukay Perdana, following reports of a tiger sighting. The closure was ordered by the Ampang District Police Headquarters (IPD) and the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) after tiger claw marks were discovered on nearby trees.

Perhilitan has paused operations to deploy additional personnel and install cameras to track the animal, as the area is dense with vegetation. Search efforts are expected to resume today with special tracking equipment. Residents have been urged to avoid outdoor activities, including jogging and playing in open areas, until officials confirm the area is safe.
