Despite losing the first game 22-24, the world No. 2 duo rebounded strongly to clinch victory 21-8, 21-17 in a 63-minute battle in Finland. Pearly-Thinaah will now face Japan’s world No. 6 pair Rin Iwanaga and Kie Nakanishi in Sunday’s title clash — their sixth final of the year. The Malaysians lost to China’s Liu Shengshu-Tan Ning in last year’s final.
