KEMAMAN — A Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) lecturer, Nurhazwani Abd Halim, 34, drowned at a resort pool here on Saturday evening.
Nurhazwani, daughter of former Permaisuri assemblyman, was swimming with her husband around 5.30pm when she was found unconscious in the water. Her husband immediately pulled her out and rushed her to Hospital Kemaman, but she was pronounced dead by medical officers.
UiTM lecturer drowns
Police said initial investigations found no criminal elements, classifying the case as sudden death. The incident drew condolences from Kijal assemblyman Datuk Razali Idris and former Terengganu menteri besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said.
