PUTRAJAYA — The Education Ministry has expelled four students accused of gang raping a Form 3 student at a school in Alor Gajah, Melaka. Education director-general Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad said the decision was made by the school’s discipline board after a special meeting today.

The suspects will not sit for their SPM exams at the same school but at a separate location or detention centre under supervision. He said their identities will remain confidential to ensure fair exam procedures. Mohd Azam stressed that the students retain their right to sit for SPM as they are not yet proven guilty. The four Form 5 students were remanded for six days under Section 375B of the Penal Code for gang rape.
