A 74-year-old Indonesian man named Tarman has gone viral for marrying 24-year-old Shela Arika, gifting her a dowry cheque worth IDR3 billion (~RM760,000). The lavish wedding sparked rumours that the cheque was blank and that Tarman had fled, but village officials confirmed the marriage was valid and the groom was simply on honeymoon.
