Starting November, JPJ enforcement officers nationwide will wear body-worn cameras (BWCs) to boost transparency and public trust. Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced that 100 units will be deployed in Phase 1, backed by RM2.3 million.

Officers involved in high-risk operations, especially those facing threats from “tontos,” will also be equipped with pistols for protection. The initiative marks a shift toward evidence-based enforcement and aims to transform JPJ’s work culture.
Loke emphasized that BWCs will ensure every action is recorded and reviewed objectively. The move aligns with the Madani government’s push for integrity, accountability, and improved public service governance.
