MILWAUKEE, Oct 15 — Yoshinobu Yamamoto delivered a masterful complete game as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 to take a 2-0 lead in the National League Championship Series. The 27-year-old Japanese ace became the first Japan-born pitcher to throw a complete game in MLB postseason history, striking out six and allowing only one run on three hits and a walk.

Max Muncy and Teoscar Hernandez homered, while Shohei Ohtani added an RBI single. Muncy’s blast marked his 14th career postseason homer, setting a Dodgers record. The Dodgers’ starting rotation has been dominant, allowing just four hits and one run over 17 innings in the first two games. Game 3 will shift to Los Angeles on Thursday, with the Dodgers aiming to repeat as World Series champions. The Brewers, meanwhile, face elimination pressure as they seek their first title since 1982.
