The Election Commission (EC) has confirmed that the Sabah state election will run from November 15 to November 29, following the dissolution of the 16th State Assembly on October 6. Nomination Day is set for November 15, early voting on November 25, and polling day on Saturday, November 29.

A total of 1,784,843 voters are eligible, including military and police personnel and their spouses. The EC will deploy 33,002 election workers across 940 polling centres and 3,645 voting streams, with the election expected to cost RM116.8 million.
Postal voting applications are now open for overseas Malaysians, media, election staff, and security forces. To ensure transparency, 25 returning officers, 196 assistants, and 86 enforcement teams will oversee the process.
The EC will also live-stream selected voting and counting activities and launch the “Jom Kita Undi” campaign to boost voter turnout and public engagement.
