Responding to a question on rising health care costs, Ocasio-Cortez contrasted Trump’s approach with that of democratic leaders who represent everyone, regardless of political affiliation.

“Trump believes if you don’t vote for him, you don’t deserve good things,” she said. She emphasised that her duty extends to all constituents, including Republicans. The discussion followed Trump’s remarks defending a government shutdown over health policy disputes, which he claimed could eliminate “Democrat things.”
