Fighting Over Priority Seat, Woman Hits Elderly Man with Slipper

TAIWAN — A 57-year-old woman was detained after fighting with an elderly man over a priority seat on a city bus on October 13. According to Liberty Times Net, the woman, identified as Wei, refused to give up her seat to Yang, who had mobility issues.

The argument escalated when Wei slapped Yang with a slipper, prompting him to retaliate. The scuffle, recorded by the bus’s security camera, went viral online. The driver intervened and ordered both off the bus. Police later discovered Wei was wanted for a theft case and summoned both for questioning.
