Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) defeated 10-man Penang 2-1 in the FA Cup quarter-final first leg at City Stadium on Friday. Oscar Arribas opened the scoring in the sixth minute before Adib Raop equalised for Penang.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men after Ahmad Irfan Noor’s dismissal before halftime. Ager Aketxe restored JDT’s lead with a 55th-minute free-kick. The return leg will be played in Johor Bahru on Oct 28.
