GEORGE TOWN: MCA is fully prepared to contest in the 17th Sabah election on Nov 29, with its candidate list awaiting final confirmation from Barisan Nasional (BN). President Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the party is committed to unity within BN and will field locally rooted candidates with proven community service.

He stressed that MCA would avoid “parachute” candidates and prioritise those who understand local needs. Wee added that final announcements would be made before Nov 15 after BN coordination with Umno and PBRS. He reaffirmed MCA’s commitment to serving within the coalition government.
