Langkawi has once again brought pride to Malaysia after being named the second-best island in Asia in the Conde Nast Traveler 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. The island scored 92.99 points, surpassing renowned destinations such as Bali (89.84) and Phuket (84.62).
Langkawi climbs
The top spot went to Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam with 95.51 points. Kedah Tourism, Culture and Entrepreneurship Committee chairman Dato’ Mohd Salleh Saidin said the recognition reflects the dedication and teamwork of Langkawi’s tourism community. He expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and hoped the accolade would attract more visitors and further strengthen Langkawi’s status as a global tourism brand.
