BUKIT MERTAJAM, Oct 19 — Police have arrested a 57-year-old man to assist investigations into the murder of his wife and 11-year-old stepdaughter at their rented home in Kampung Sekolah Juru.
Penang police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail said the suspect, remanded for seven days until Oct 25, is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

The victims, aged 51 and 11, were found dead around 7.30pm yesterday. The woman’s body was discovered in the kitchen with her head nearly severed, while the child was found upstairs covered in blood.
