However, India’s Ministry of External Affairs denied any recent conversation between the two leaders, reiterating that India’s energy policy is guided by market conditions and the need for stable, diversified supply.
Trump’s remarks have drawn global attention, especially as he emphasized that failure to comply would result in economic penalties, despite India’s diplomatic pushback.
