Kelantan has seen a sharp rise in commercial crimes, particularly e-commerce fraud and online job scams, with losses exceeding RM12.67 million from January to September 2025. State police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat reported 310 e-commerce fraud cases and 165 job scam cases, both nearly doubling from last year.

Cybercrime overall rose to 344 cases, with increasingly complex tactics. While narcotics cases and arrests declined slightly, drug seizures surged by 69%. Violent crimes also saw an uptick, including murder, rape, and assault. Police pledged stronger preventive strategies and inter-agency cooperation to tackle evolving threats and safeguard public safety.
