Eva Air Apologises After Requesting Documents from Deceased Staff

Eva Air has come under fire after allegedly requesting sick leave documents from a deceased flight attendant on the day of her funeral. The 34-year-old employee, surnamed Sun, died on 8 October after falling ill during a flight from Milan. 

Eva Air Apologises for Request

Her family was shocked to receive a message asking for proof of leave taken on 27 September, prompting them to respond with her death certificate. 

Eva Air later issued a public apology, calling the message an internal error and expressing deep sorrow. The airline is conducting an internal investigation and reaffirmed its commitment to employee welfare and sensitivity.
