The rise of crimes happening in schools have introduced new safety protocols. However, it seems that the students themselves, the prefects, are seemingly in charge of metal detectors, with hopes to catch any perpetrators in case of any incidents happening.

X users say what if a school prefect found another student with a weapon, they ask how would said scenario end? Others add that it should be the security guards, adults who are on an income, to be the ones that do this. Having actual students doing this is concerning towards social media users.
Another user says a prefect in his school years ago managed to stop a stabbing that was about to happen. Unfortunately, such cases have already happened in schools here for decades.
