Penang police have secured a seven-day remand for two men, aged in their 40s, to assist in the murder investigation of a 51-year-old kuih seller and her adopted daughter. The remand, effective until October 26, involves a Bangladeshi national and another suspect, both investigated under Section 302 for murder.

More remanded
Police found the suspected murder weapon behind the victims’ house and seized the suspects’ phones. The victims’ bodies were discovered by the woman’s husband on Saturday at 7.30 pm in Kampung Sekolah Juru. The husband is also remanded until October 25.
