A man in his 40s died after a tree fell on his car near Hartamas Regency, Persiaran Dutamas, during a thunderstorm in Kuala Lumpur. The storm, between 4pm and 5.30pm, prompted three emergency calls to the Fire and Rescue Department.

A woman in her 30s was injured in a similar incident along Jalan Metro Prima, Kepong Baru. Another car was damaged along Jalan Burung Baram, Taman Bukti Maluri, but no injuries were reported.
