Recently, it was announced that Selangor is slowly planning to roll out pickle ball as a school sport. However, social media users feel that it’s a sport for “rich” people. X users add that there are other existing sports that could be invested in that have been around for decades.
Pickle Ball as a Sport in Schools
Despite the negative comments, there is still a need for sports in schools to continue on. Currently, the sport is the latest rage in Malaysia, and it appears that the state government finds it to be a healthy form of exercise for the students.
There are users defending this idea, citing that it is good to have a diverse choice in sports. An X user claims that the current badminton courts can handle the game, it would just need a lower net.
