Four teenage boys, aged 15 and 17, pleaded not guilty to gang-raping a 14-year-old girl in Baling, Kedah, between June and August. The alleged assaults occurred in an oil palm plantation and a school classroom.
Teen Defendants Released on Bail
Charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, they face up to 20 years in prison and caning if convicted. All were released on RM3,000 bail and barred from contacting the victim.
The case surfaced after explicit videos circulated online, prompting a school teacher to alert the victim’s mother. Police confirmed the acts were consensual, but the victim’s age renders it statutory rape.
