WASHINGTON: Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) cautioned fellow Republicans not to underestimate public anger following the weekend’s “No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump’s administration. Speaking to Bloomberg Television, Cruz said, “There is a lot of energy, a lot of anger on the left. Elections can be dangerous when one side is mobilized.”

Organizers said 2,700 rallies drew roughly seven million participants nationwide. While Cruz acknowledged the movement’s potential impact, Trump mocked the protests online, and House Speaker Mike Johnson dismissed them as a “stunt.” The demonstrations coincided with the third week of a federal government shutdown.
