The Malaysian government will deploy police officers to school areas to address rising concerns over bullying, abuse, and student-related crimes. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said guidelines will be issued to ensure police presence does not cause anxiety among children. 

RM5 Million for School CCTVs

A National Education Council will also be formed to address systemic weaknesses. RM5 million has been allocated for CCTV installations in selected schools, alongside plans to recruit assistant dormitory wardens—including military veterans—and expand counselling services. 

The government is also considering screening procedures for hiring school security guards, canteen staff, and cleaners to enhance overall safety.
