SHAH ALAM: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad turned sarcastic in court on Thursday, expressing frustration over lengthy questioning in his RM150 million defamation suit against Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar Case Delays
“I don’t have time, Yang Arif. I’m already 100 years old; I can’t answer all these questions,” he said, adding, “If this goes on, I’ll live until 200.”
Mahathir complained that Anwar’s lawyers barred him from elaborating and asked only “agree or disagree” questions. “They’re bringing up irrelevant, personal matters — not the defamation,” he said, accusing Anwar of falsely claiming he stole and enriched his children.
