Sabah police are fully prepared to ensure public safety and smooth operations during the 17th state election on November 29. State Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun confirmed that 8,900 personnel—including 1,200 officers from Sarawak and Bukit Aman—will be deployed statewide.

Police are also preparing for challenges in remote and island areas, especially disruptions from the northeast monsoon. Early voting is set for November 25, with nomination day on November 15.
