WASHINGTON: Former US president Donald Trump warned that Israel would lose American support if it annexes the occupied West Bank. Speaking to Time magazine, Trump said he had assured Arab nations such a move would not happen, stressing the importance of maintaining regional trust.

The remarks came as Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio also urged Israel against annexation. Trump added he expects Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords by year-end and hinted at possible peace moves involving the release of Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti. Israeli lawmakers recently advanced Bills supporting annexation.
