KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 — Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd suspects cable theft near the Kuchai MRT station caused the ongoing disruption on the MRT Putrajaya line. Preliminary investigations found piles of cut communication cables near the site. The operator said it is working with MRT Corporation and police to investigate and prevent further thefts.

Trains are now running manually between Kwasa Damansara and Putrajaya Sentral, causing longer travel times and 20- to 30-minute intervals. Free shuttle buses are provided, while auxiliary police and staff assist passengers across affected stations.
