The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is identifying overseas assets linked to Adlan Berhan, the son-in-law of former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin, as part of efforts to freeze them. Deputy chief commissioner Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya said all of Adlan’s Malaysian assets and bank accounts had already been frozen.

The fugitive businessman is accused of misappropriation tied to the RM595 million National Enforcement and Registration System (NERS) sukuk project. MACC chief Azam Baki recently claimed Adlan is living lavishly in the Middle East, traveling for leisure while evading arrest. Malaysia reportedly lacks an extradition treaty with his host country.
