 Man Cooperates with Police over Upside-Down Jalur Gemilang on MPV in Pontian

Police in Pontian are investigating a 44-year-old labourer after a video showing an upside-down Jalur Gemilang on his MPV went viral. The vehicle was parked in front of a furniture shop along Jalan Pekan Nanas. District police chief Supt Mohammad Shofee Tayib said the man has given full cooperation, and the flag’s position was immediately corrected.

The case is being investigated under Section 5 of the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act 1963 and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955. Police urged the public not to speculate or spread provocative views.
