Malaysia Top Earners Earn 5x5x More
DOSM’s Q2 2025 report shows median wages rising across all states, with KL leading at RM4,064 and Kelantan trailing at RM1,764. The formal workforce grew 3.5% year-on-year to 6.97 million, with men earning RM100 more than women on average.
Youth under 20 saw the highest wage growth, while workers aged 45–49 earned the most. All sectors recorded wage increases, reflecting a resilient labour market amid ongoing efforts to improve wage transparency.
