SINGAPORE: A 44-year-old woman was arrested on Oct 26 after allegedly attacking two women with a knife at Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre. Police received a call for assistance at 756 Upper Serangoon Road around 12.20pm. Members of the public subdued the suspect before officers arrived.

She was arrested for voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon and will undergo psychiatric assessment. Preliminary investigations showed she acted alone. The victims, aged 36 and 44, sustained injuries and were taken to hospital conscious. Police seized the knife used in the attack. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
