WASHINGTON: Canada remains significantly more popular than US President Donald Trump among Americans, according to data shared by CNN Chief Data Analyst Harry Enten. The network’s analysis showed Canada’s net popularity rating at +49 percentage points, compared with Trump’s -10. This nearly 60-point gap underscores how favorably Americans view their northern neighbor despite ongoing trade tensions.

Enten noted that while disputes with China are politically expected, conflicts with Canada strike a different chord among US citizens, who see Canadians as friendly and trustworthy allies. The findings highlight Trump’s continued struggle with public perception amid tariff and trade controversies.
