A 20-year-old woman in Singapore, was sentenced to 12 months’ probation on October 27 for filing a false rape report. She met a 43-year-old man via Sugarbook and agreed to sex for S$200 (RM640), later demanding S$1,200 (RM3,800).

When he refused, she threatened to accuse him of rape and sent a hostile message. She initially maintained her claim to police but later admitted it was fabricated. She pleaded guilty to giving false information and causing alarm.
Her probation includes a nightly curfew and 60 hours of community service, with her parents furnishing a S$5,000 (RM16,200) bond to ensure compliance.
